WHICH FOOD IS BEST FOR MY CAT

Our cats are one of our family members and we want them eat healthy as much as we do. We want to choose healthy food for our little friends.I recommend first ask  your veterinary about with which food you should feed your cat because your cat can be old,allergic or simply fat :)

After this there are some tips of choosing a cat food.

I asked my veterinary about what dry food I should use with my cats his answer 'Something not cheap.Cheap ones don't have meat' So I don't prefer cheap cat foods.Cats are carnivores.They need to eat meat. If meat 10 euro there can't be 1 euro cat food.What is inside ?

Start reading backside of the food package.There shouldn't be corn, corn gluten , soy,wheat,dried barley,artificial coloring,rye  inside.None of these are good for cats. Cats don't eat corn...they don't eat any of these.And shouldn't. These are in cat foods for decreasing cost. Low-price ingredients.Also some cats having allergic reactions to these ingredients and worse they may have serious illnesses like cancer. The main ingredient must be meat. That's natural and quality for cats.

Main Ingredients In Cat Foods: 

Fish : Fish makes cats' coat shiny and healthy but in nature cats don't eat sea food often.Problem with this ingredient is if the fish has antioxidant called ethoxyquin.(EMQ) Ethoxyquin is very harmful to cats.Make sure about checking 'ethoxyquin free' when food includes fish.

Tuna and Salmon are great for cats because they include great amount of protein and omega 3. Also salmon has very low mercury.

Beef: This is a high quality product for cats. Contains very important proteins and it is necessary for cats' health.The important point you should look at products with beef  it shouldn't be 'meal form'. Once its fully cooked it lose most of nutritious.

Rabbit: This product is a high quality protein source for cats. When 'rabbit' listed on packet it means `whole rabbit` without fur and bones of course :) My cat's one of favorite is wet food with rabbit.

Lamb: Lamb itself can be a great source of protein but no matter canned or dry food lamb loses %80 of its quality during cooking. So its not very good option for cat foods.

Chicken : Another protein source for cats. Most of chicken is water.During cooking procedure it loses some of its quality.Chicken is good for cats but 'alone' it not has enough meat protein for cat.

Not matter if you feeding your cat with dry food or canned food always try to choose most natural ones.Ingredients in same brand can be changed. So its all owner's responsibility to check ingredients of food.

Sometimes cats don't want to eat dry foods because of taste.Its when food don't have any  sweeteners and some taste giving chemicals.So taste bad not mean 'unhealthy' Don't forget if you feeding your cat with poor quality foods your cat will have serious health issues in time.Especially male infertile cats having kidney problems.Poor quality foods must be avoided.If you have many cats and can't afford good quality food you can always give normal food like makaron&liver. ( Don't forget ask your veterinary in any case)

I sometimes giving my cat what I eat.Without salt.Be sure your cat not eat anything salty.Especially when I eat fish  he wants some :)

Its always a difference for your cat.

I think my cat is helping me choose good quality food too :) For example my cat never eat specific food brands even if he is very hungry.When I do research about those foods I see that he is right to not eat.He decided his favorite one is Felix :) I made my researched about the food and they use quality meat also they don't use any of these ingredients above.My cat don't like dry food.It eats dry only when he doesn't have wet food.You can ask your vet whats best for your cat.Dry,wet or both!
Note : If your cat doesn't want to eat specific food don't force your cat to eat it.You can try not giving another food one day but if it still not eats the food.Just don't insist about giving it.

Note : You can always put some food outside for street cats. They will appreciate :)

A Beginner's Guide For Cat Owner

Hello everyone;

If you decided to have a cat in your house or if you have one recently and you are not experianced tips below will be helpfull for you and your cat.

What You Will Need

Food and water bowl : Stainless steel or ceramic bowls are good for your cat also healthier than plastic bowls.You should keep bowls clean also don't forget to change your cat's water once a day.You can buy food bowls from pet shops,internet,local markets.There are many varierities of bowls.

Grooming Tool: Especially when your cat molting you may need a soft grooming tool.Cats mostly clean theirselves,they will like little assistence.I advice you groom your cat under sun, My cat like it twice more when I groom him under sun :) You can buy comb for cats from markets,pet shops and from internet.If you want something more effective try buying one from veterinary.

Litter Box: Your cat has a toilet need too. :) Dont forget to keep it always clean. 

Scratching Post : Do you want to keep your furniture safe? :) Start educating your cat with scraching post.Scratching is cats' basic need.

Transportation Box: If you think you will not need take your cat out of house think again :) At least yo will have to go veterinary with your cat.So buying a safe nice cat box will be helpful.

Toys:Your cat needs play games.You can get help from cat toys.Toys and playing game is important for cat to exercising,stimulating enviroment also an opportunity for hunting. A healthy cat needs to play.There are diffrent types of cat toys you can buy from markets,pet shops and via internet.You can make DIY cat toys too. Cat Treats: Cats love these small treats more than food :)) You  can use these as rewards or just a happy moment for your cat and yourself. Be careful about not to give more than 10 treats in day. :)) 

Cat Food:Choosing a right food for your cat important.Low quality foods are not good for cats. You can ask advice to your veterinary for which food you can buy for your cat. And dont forget not to change brand very often.I recommend sometimes giving normal food to your cat (what you eat).
